The Minister of foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic tomáš Peter said that if the principle of non-interference of the parties in the policies of each other, the dialogue with Russia was more active. The diplomat does not exclude that between Prague and Moscow work out a mutually beneficial dialogue, RBC.
"Our citizens pay me for something that I dealt with the future of the country and was built with Russia a mutually beneficial relationship, and not to raise old debates. At the same time, as they say, it takes two to tango, and without reciprocity on the part of Russia to develop the dialogue will be difficult", – said the head of the diplomatic mission of the Czech Republic.
Peter considers absurd the intentions of the Federation to prosecute Czech politicians for the dismantling of the monument. In particular, the Minister of foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic added that he is ready to negotiate the transfer of the sculpture to the Russian capital.
The misunderstanding that had arisen recently in Russian-Czech relations, connected with the dismantling of the monument to Marshal of the Soviet Union Ivan Konev. He was in Prague 6. Russia this incident is perceived negatively.
So, a member of the Federation Council Vladimir Jabbarov urged the Czech Republic to apologize. According to the Senator, such actions are sacrilegious. The monument was demolished on 3 April 2020.
Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, speaking about the incident, said that the Kremlin wished to see the monument restored on the place where it was located previously.
Earlier RF IC opened a criminal case in connection with the dismantling of the monument to Konev in Prague.
