the Novgorod regional library launched a virtual flash mob “of Literary characters in isolation”. The aim of the campaign is to support its readers and simultaneously to recall the masterpieces of world literature.
– self-Isolation is a unusual, difficult, but necessary to maintain health. And the heroes of many books, starting with antiquity and ending with modernity, were often in a situation similar to the present – who for a few hours, and who for centuries, – say the organizers. – We empathize with these characters, admire them, want to be like them. That is why the motto of our flashmob we chose the words: “Could they – and we”. We encourage readers and all social network users post on their pages cover images of the books, the heroes of which were in isolation, under the hashtags #groepsmaatschappij #was literaturereview #bibliotekano”.
Organizers also asked participants to specify the period of isolation of the literary characters.
One of the first was called the work “the Count of Monte Cristo”, “Ilya Muromets”, “Rapunzel”. Readers like to remember the scenes of your favorite books, and to calculate the periods of voluntary or involuntary confinement of heroes: thirty years and three years Ilya Muromets, a hundred years, Sleeping beauty and so on.
Inquisitive readers remembered the myths, epics, folk and literary tales, poems, novels, novels by Russian and foreign authors: “the Scarlet flower”, “the little Mermaid”, “the Wild swans”, “War and peace”, “White nights”, “the Life and strange surprising adventures of sailor “Robinson Crusoe,” “the Iron mask”, “the Aviator” and many other wonderful works.
