Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder deliberately won conditional bet offered to him by the Ambassador of Ukraine in Germany about the return of the Crimea to the Ukraine, said Deputy Chairman of the Public chamber of the Crimea, political scientist Alexander Formanchuk.
Ambassador of Ukraine in Germany Andrey Melnik suggested the shredder to bet to “return” Crimea to Kiev, the diplomat said the Ukrainian media. Earlier, Schroeder in an interview with Tagesspiegel expressed the opinion that no Russian President will never give the Crimea to Ukraine. The former Chancellor also called for the abolition of anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the EU in 2014, and stressed that cooperation with Moscow is particularly necessary in the current economic situation.
“It’s the same nationalistic nonsense, which today lives of the ruling elite of Ukraine. Pandemic, it seems, not only senses, and the malaise has passed the stage of nationalist fever, once the Ambassador allows himself to make such statements.
