Placing the responsibility for the failure of investigations into the causes of the fire in the trade unions Building in Odessa on Russia, Ukraine continues to cover up for “Nazis”. This was stated by the head of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky, reports RIA Novosti.
Thus he commented on the statement the foreign Ministry of Ukraine, which accused Moscow of unwillingness to investigate the cause of the tragedy in Odessa. Slutsky called this the “cynicism and arrogance”.
“the Russian side at various levels called for an objective investigation of the circumstances of Odessa "Katyn"” — he stressed.
The MP added that the ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko with the “acquiescence of the Western allies” delayed the investigation. And now Kiev following the example of “their overseas curators” trying to find an excuse for inaction in the external circumstances, considers Slutsky.
Earlier, Ukraine’s foreign Ministry issued a statement in which Russia is called not only an interested party in the investigation into the fire in Odessa. In addition, Moscow was accused of masterminding one of the main defendants of the investigation, the former Deputy chief GU MVD of Odessa region.
The fire in the trade unions Building of Odessa occurred on may 2, 2014, after street fighting between activists of the Euromaidan and Pro-Russian supporters of federalization of Ukraine. The latter took refuge in the building after the defeat of their camp, but the defenders of the new authorities of the country pelted the House of trade unions “Molotov cocktails”. Killed 48 people, injured several hundred. The investigation was repeatedly stopped, the perpetrators have not been named.
