Pandemic of novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 could last at least eighteen months to two years. Fully stop the infestation will fail, while two-thirds of the world’s population does not acquire immunity against coronavirus, according to Russian Public television.

Such a disappointing forecast for the results of the study were given by experts of the center for research and policy for infectious diseases at the University of Minnesota (USA).
Scientists based on the analysis of past pandemics concluded that this outbreak "will last 18 to 24 months and probably will not stop as long as 60 to 70 percent of the population acquires immunity".
They note that the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 has a long incubation period, a high index of reproduction, asymptomatic. Because of this, the infection spreads more easily than the flu.
Researchers believe that governments should warn people that the pandemic COVID-19 will be finished soon and they need to prepare for its outbreak during the next two years.
