Scientists from Singapore University of technology and design (SUTD) has adjusted its forecast for the end of the epidemic of a novel coronavirus in Russia. On their website it is indicated that one hundred percent of the epidemic will be over by August 4.
I wrote “the Rambler”, a statistical model of scientists, based on official data on the number of infected, constantly updated. First, it predicts that the epidemic in Russia will be fully completed by 20 July, then the date was moved to August 7, and now again has shifted back.
According to the model, for 97 percent of the epidemic will be over by may 23, 99 per cent by 1 June.
One hundred percent completion of the pandemic coronavirus model in the world predicts on 2 December, and the completion of 97 per cent by 30 may.
The scientists stressed that to take predictions with caution.
“Over-optimism, based on projected dates dangerous as it can weaken our discipline and cause the spread of the virus,” said they.
Virologist, doctor of medical Sciences Anatoly Altstein warned that the timing of the completion of any epidemics are difficult to forecast.
