Periods of extreme high temperatures expected in the summer on the European part of Russia, the press service of Roshydromet.
"In accordance with the prognostic developments, it is expected considerable heterogeneity and temperature regime, and moisture regime. In some regions of Russia is projected to increased likelihood of periods with extremely high temperatures", – stated in the message Department.
As explained to RIA Novosti in the press service, the most likely periods of heat on the European part of Russia, but to say exactly when and in which regions they occur, technically it is impossible.
According to experts of Roshydromet, this forecast is associated with an increase in the frequency and intensity of heat waves, i.e. periods when the temperature in the summer months for 5 days exceeds the climatic norm by more than 5 degrees, and increase in periods of strong heat, when daytime temperatures exceed 30 degrees in temperate latitudes. In the southern parts of the country, this criterion is 35 degrees.
