Public organization “the international centre of the Roerichs” (ICR) in the arbitration court of Moscow has sued the State Museum of art of Oriental peoples for the recovery of illegal possession of property constituting the Memorial library of the Roerichs of the environment court, the suit was brought in court on April 21, a preliminary hearing for him is scheduled for July 20.
Just April 21-23, ICR filed four lawsuits to the State Museum of Oriental art (SMOA). To the production until adopted two of them. In the second suit, accepted for consideration, also stated the requirement about recovery of property from illegal possession, but not explained, what was going on. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 22. At the same time on the ICR website published a message which stated that “the claims against GMI is not aimed at the recovery of cash assets, and the solicitation of illegal possession of GMV property belonging ICR the right of ownership and illegally seized 29 April 2017 as a result of the seizure of the Lopukhins ‘estate”.
Previously, the parties were suing for buildings in the historic city Lopukhins ‘ estate in the center of Moscow, in which he was located for about 20 years.
