“the blessing of Metropolitan of Odessa and Izmail Agafangel and Metropolitan Hilarion of Donetsk and Mariupol in all churches of the Odessa and Donetsk dioceses will carry out daily prayers for rain”, – stated in the message on the Department’s website.
So, at the request of local residents, Metropolitan of Odessa and Izmail Agafangel, on 26 April called for the economy “Pokrovskoye” in the Odessa region.
“In recent months, weather conditions are not conducive to the development of agriculture, so the Bishop prayed for rain, called on all people to unite in a prayerful effort to continue grain procurement and to ask the Lord for mercy to end this terrible drought,” – said in a statement.
In the Donbass as there is a “prolonged absence of precipitation, which is compounded by the frequent strong winds”, so it is especially necessary to “call upon God’s help, to avoid harm to agriculture and home farms” is added to the message.
