In NPCs compared the data on interbank transactions for all Bank cards in the first two weeks of February this year, when the Russians haven’t changed, and all purchases and payments were made in the usual way, and the first two weeks of April, when it entered into force a regime of self-isolation.
“We saw that in POS terminals supermarkets, the number of operations decreased from 162 million to 150 million, and the average check, by contrast, grew from 554 to 693 rubles rubles. The number of online orders in the supermarket has grown from 1.5 million to 2.3 million, and the average bill of such purchases has increased from 2000 to 2900 rubles rubles”, – said the head of nvqs.
In pharmacies, the situation is similar – the number of POS transactions fell from 19.5 to 17.3 million, the average check increased from 605 to 655 rubles, and the number of online orders increased almost four times. As for the familiar category of food delivery through a variety of services, the number of payment orders has decreased from 74.2 million to 22.2 million. At the same time in one and a half times increased the share of payments such orders online, and not through the POS terminal at delivery, the average check of online purchases increased from 892 to 991 rubles ruble. A serious decline is observed, for obvious reasons, and in urban transport of the Russian Federation – the number of payments by credit cards has fallen from 36.7 million to 10 million.
