Doctor of medical Sciences, Professor Anatoly Altstein said that the stabilization of the epidemic of coronavirus in Russia may be delayed because of the scale of the country. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
The virologist noted that in different regions of the country outbreaks of coronavirus are at different stages.
“as a result of this stabilization period, it can last long enough. In the United States it has already lasted more than three weeks,” he said.
According to Altstein, the current daily increase in infected puts a heavy load for the Russian medicine. But to compare it with Spanish or Italian situations, where the health system does not have time to prepare, it is impossible.
“I think that our medicine will survive”, – concluded the expert.
