The official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said an investigation of the Czech edition of the Russian special services, who allegedly arrived in the Czech Republic with poison. She told about it on air of the program “60 minutes” on TV channel “Russia 1” reports owned by Grigory Berezkin RBC.
According to her, information about the Russian secret services attempt to poison the Czech politicians fake and stuffing. Foreign Ministry spokesman called on European institutions to pay attention to “another batch (…) fake, misinformation, ballot box stuffing”.
Zakharov stressed that the published information requires a thorough verification of sources and origin, adding that “such things cannot remain unpunished”.
Earlier, the Kremlin called this information “duck”.
“We don’t know who were the detectives that were investigating. Looks like another "duck"” — said the Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
22 APR Czech newspaper Respekt reported allegedly recorded the transfer of intelligence officers from Russia to Europe. In particular, it was reported that some time ago in the airport Vaclav Havel arrived the employee of the Russian special services, in Luggage could be poison.
It was also noted that the initiators of the demolition of the monument to Marshal of the Soviet Union Ivan Konev took custody.
In 2017, the Czech Republic revised the role Konev in history. In addition to the information on the role of commander in the liberation of Prague from the Nazis in 1945, on the plate of the monument there was a mention of the suppression of the Hungarian uprising of 1956 and the preparation of the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968.
