President Vladimir Putin knows about the mosaic with his image in the Church under construction of the Russian Armed forces, but believes that it is too early therefore to assess the work, said the press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.
“Putin was reported [about this mosaic]”, – said the press Secretary, answering a TASS question about whether the President about this project.
“When he was told about it, he smiled and said, “ever grateful descendants will appreciate our merits, but now it is still too early to do”, – has transferred words of the head of state Sands.
The main temple of the Russian Armed forces is being built in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war in Moscow Park “Patriot”. Earlier this week in the Internet appeared photos in which, allegedly, was captured elements of the interior of the temple. In particular the image was visible a fragment of a mosaic with the image of Putin, as well as a number of other political figures of modern Russia. The ROC stated that they consider these mosaics to be appropriate.
Earlier, defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told about the temple being built in Moscow Park “Patriot” in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war, and also about the main icon of the temple, established at the suggestion and at the expense of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
