The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has accepted an invitation to visit AVTOVAZ, promising to come as soon as possible.
"for my part, I would like to congratulate the staff and veterans of the Volga automobile plant on the anniversary. Indeed, half a century ago, it was April 19, 1970, with rolled off the first car VAZ – the fabled "penny", – Putin said at a meeting on the development of the auto industry.
The President noted that from that moment began the great history of the automotive giant.
"I wish the employees of AVTOVAZ and its partners success. All the best to you, health, industrial work. And, of course, will try to take advantage of your invitation, would like to go to the enterprise as soon as possible", – said the head of state.
