The EU urges the Russian authorities to condemn and investigate threats against journalist Elena Milashina and ensure her safety. This is stated in the statement of the European foreign service.
“We expect that the Russian Federation will comply with its international and national obligations and provide a safe environment in which journalists can work without fear of reprisals”, – the statement says.
The EU also called for an investigation into the attack on Elena Milashina and lawyer Marina Dubrovin and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
