The national police of Ukraine has stopped the investigation of blogger and journalist Anatoly Sharia. About it reports “Interfax-Ukraine” with reference to the press service of the Channel.
“the Decision to withdraw from the investigation Anatoly Sharia was adopted by the court. The decision of Solomenskiy district court of Kiev on the termination of the investigation Anatoly Sharia received in Solomenskiy police Department”, — have informed Agency in the press-service of the Channel.
It is noted that the information sought has already been removed from the site of MIA of Ukraine.
Anatoly Shary was declared wanted in February 2012 on suspicion of false report of a crime. 20 June of the same year he was declared internationally wanted. The journalist suspected that in June 2011 he was fired from a hunting rifle to own a car with the aim of staging the assassination attempt.
In the summer of last year, the Shevchenkivskiy court of Kyiv has stopped the investigation of Sharia, and lifted him in absentia arrest on charges of shooting at McDonald’s in 2011. Then the journalist was accused of using a firearm during a conflict with one of the restaurant in may 2011. The investigation stopped in 2012, as Shary leave the territory of Ukraine. The case was reopened in 2018 and sent for additional investigation to the Prosecutor’s office of Kyiv.
In may 2014 Shary leads video blog on Youtube where he criticizes the actions of the Kiev authorities.
