Kamchatka deputies passed a law giving citizens the right to submit his candidature for participation in elections of the Governor of the region, the press service of the legislative Assembly of the territory, noting that the document was submitted for session of the regional Parliament, the local electoral Commission.
it is Noted that the current wording of the law, a candidate for the office of Governor of Kamchatka territory extends solely to the electoral Association (political party).
According to him, the law is a serious and necessary step in favor of the democratization of the election procedure of the Supreme official of the region.
“these amendments now not only political parties can nominate candidates. We were given the opportunity to try your hand at the election of any suitable age non-convicted citizen of Russia. To adopt a law had to be virtually with wheels – the final document was received from the electoral Commission prior to the session. But the deputies found that the complex epidemiological situation requires operational approach to the adoption of such important regional decisions,” – said Kopylov.
