MOSCOW, 20 APR – RIA Novosti. Kidnapped in the East of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the staff of the international humanitarian organization “Doctors without borders” (MSF) were released on Sunday evening, according to news portal’actualite, citing authorities.
Earlier, citing the publication 7sur7 reported that armed men kidnapped the regular project coordinator MSF, his assistant and two drivers of the organization in the Eastern DRC province of South Kivu.
the Publication’actualite notes that employees of the organization, the kidnappers spent four days in the woods.
They were released in the village Nsimbi in the territory of Fizi on the results of the negotiations led with the participation of MSF and the local authorities. “We don’t know whether MSF was given some redemption, as they are for this reason not expressed”, – quotes the portal words of the Chairman of the society of the citizens of the district of Butambala Joseph Apolo.
