MOSCOW, 20 APR – RIA Novosti. The man started a fire in the canadian province of Nova Scotia, which killed several people, died, said the local police. Previously, the police Department reported that a suspect detained.
According to previous police, 51-year-old Gabriel Wortman the evening of 18 April and opened fire on people in Portapak, killing more than 10 people. In the shooting death of the policewoman, one policeman was injured.
Initially police said that the suspect is detained, now the government informed that he was dead.
“Search (suspect – ed) continued all night. This morning we were actively looking for a suspect in several settlements of Nova Scotia. The search for the suspect ended this morning when he was discovered. And I can confirm that he died”, – said during the briefing, chief superintendent local police Chris Later. The broadcast led the canadian CBC TV channel.
Police have not confirmed the information of the TV channel CTV about what the attacker was shot dead.
