MOSCOW, 18 Jul – RIA Novosti. Special plane with Holy fire landed at the airport Vnukovo, RIA news in the Fund of St. Andrew.
Now, the Shrine takes on the Patriarchal service at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
for the First time in nearly a thousand years the ceremony of the Holy fire in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was held behind closed doors and the absence of pilgrims and the faithful. After appearance of fire Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem gave his servants the Greek Church and other denominations, which owns the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
the Delegation of St. Andrew Foundation and the lamps with the Shrine at the airport “Ben Gurion” gave the Russian Ambassador in Israel, Anatoly Viktorov.
While the Holy fire this year decided not to celebrate mass in Moscow due to the regime self-isolation. However, the Foundation promised that the Church will distribute to the faithful, when the city authorities will remove the previously installed restrictions.
the Holy fire symbolizes the miraculous light of the resurrection of Christ and considered sacred to believers. His appearance on the eve of Orthodox Easter, in spite of the regularity, referred to as a miracle.
