Holy fire appeared in Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
The pandemic coronavirus for the first time in ten centuries the ceremony was held behind closed doors and the absence of pilgrims and the faithful. After appearance of fire Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem gave his servants the Greek Church and other denominations, which owns the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
Now the Holy fire will be delivered to the Jaffa gate of the Old city, where they will hand out its diplomats from countries in which a significant portion of the population professes Orthodoxy. Among them the Russian Ambassador, who, in turn, give fire to the delegation of Fund of Andrey Pervozvannogo. It will take relic to Moscow.
A special flight with a delegation already landed at the airport Ben-Gurion.
The Holy fire symbolizes the miraculous light of the resurrection of Christ and considered sacred to believers. His appearance on the eve of Orthodox Easter, in spite of the regularity, referred to as a miracle.
