The Czech foreign Ministry sent a note to Russia in connection with the action held in front of the Consulate General of Czech Republic in Saint-Petersburg. It is reported by RIA “Novosti”.
The representative of the Czech foreign Ministry, Zuzana Stihova told reporters that the protesters unfurled a banner with obscene remarks and lit smoke bombs.
Guarding the Consulate building, police detained about fined one of the participants.
“unfortunately, the police informed the Consul General about their actions and resolution of the incident. In this regard, the Russian foreign Ministry had sent an official note,” said Stihova.
Earlier, a similar rally was held in Moscow in front of the Embassy of the Czech Republic.
Russia clarifies the role of American companies in the demolition of the monument to Marshal Konev
Both incidents were a response to the decision of the authorities of Prague on the demolition of the monument to Soviet Marshal Ivan Konev who commanded the troops that liberated 9 may 1945, Prague.
