Work on a vaccine for the coronavirus in Russia is progressing well, said the President of Russia Vladimir Putin at a meeting on the construction and redevelopment of health facilities in the regions of the Russian Federation. The broadcast led TV channel “Russia 24”.
“In seven scientific platforms are working to find vaccines, warning that the disease. Know that, in principle, work is moving successfully, in any case, some of them”, — said Putin.
The Minister of health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, the meeting noted that to date, experts have begun preclinical testing of vaccines and are preparing for clinical trials.
“There are encouraging results today and we start the study already for production sites that will be able to place this product directly on their production lines. Therefore, all areas we work in parallel,” he said.
According to the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus on April 17, the number of cases of infection in Russia has increased during the day, 4070 – up 32008. For the entire period in Russia recovered 2590 cases, 273 recorded death related to the coronavirus.
