The Ministry of science and higher education of Russia intends in time to finish the Center for collective use “the Siberian ring photon source” research (SKIF) near Novosibirsk and takes all measures to complete the work in a timely manner. “In order to prevent disruption of the implementation period of the project, and we all understand that the timing is brutal for this kind of installations, we take all efforts to meet these deadlines. Now we are discussing the possibility of starting the financing of manufacturing equipment, beginning in 2020,” he said.
In turn, the head of the General designer of TCP SKIF — Central design-technological Institute Mikhail Tarasov promised that the engineering surveying for the project will be completed by June. After that, until the end of the year, staff will develop project documentation, which will focus on the conclusion of the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia.
Earlier it was reported that the beginning of financing of the Siberian synchrotron postponed to a later date. Initially it was assumed that the first money to create magaziens installation will be in 2019. However then it became known that, according to the draft decree of the government, the financing of the project will begin in 2020. Then in stepped the Governor of the Novosibirsk region Andrey Travnikov, who called to accelerate with the construction of the skiff.
The construction of the skiff, the first phase of which should be launched at the end of 2023, conducted in the framework of the Federal program “Development of advanced infrastructure for research and development in the Russian Federation” of the national project “Science.” According to her, by 2024 in a country with 50 percent updated instrument base of the scientific organizations, will also be commissioned clinical setting class “magicians”. To implement the program is planned to allocate 350 billion rubles.
