Ankara considers the reaction of the UN Security Council on the situation with coronavirus pandemic outrageous late and calls for its reform, said on 14 April, the foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu.
He said this in the course organized by the “Atlantic Council” videoconference between Washington and Ankara. According to him, the meeting of the UN security Council to discuss the pandemic took place four months after it began.
“They met to discuss the pandemic, nearly four months later, as everything has already happened, it’s unbelievable! This is outrageous!”, — said Cavusoglu.
Thus he drew an analogy with the participation of the security Council in addressing other problems such as the Syrian, Libyan and Yemeni conflicts.
As reported IA REGNUM, a closed meeting of the UN security Council on the situation of the pandemic in the fashion industry, took place on 9 April on request from Germany, Belgium, Indonesia, Vietnam, Dominican Republic, Estonia, Niger, Tunisia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
