Doctor of political Sciences, Professor of Moscow state University Andrey manoylo commented initiated in the US investigation of the causes of the spread of coronavirus. American politicians are convinced that the situation is out of control, blame China and the world health organization.
manoylo identified several objectives that are pursued by the Americans, and for which were put forward the idea of organizing the investigation. In particular, he pointed out that the main object of U.S. policy in this regard is China.
“first, formally to accuse China in the origin of the coronavirus that this is hardly a “Chinese invention”, and secondly, to accuse China of insufficiency of measures taken to ensure that this infection has gone beyond China,” said manoylo in an interview with radio Sputnik.
He also stressed that the political elite of the United States there is a belief about the need to compensate for the economic losses caused by the pandemic COVID-19. And that China preferred looks as the “culprit” of running processes.
“best of all, from the point of view of Washington, this role is right for China – simply because that’s where the infection first manifested itself,” said manoylo.
He added that the US President Donald trump organizes an investigation to obtain from the China compensation and to get more favourable position China at the signing of the trade agreement between the two countries.
“I suppose trump will accuse China in pandemic coronavirus and all losses suffered by the Western world, will call on Western countries to join the United States in seeking to bring China to justice. And will use this charge for two main goals. First, in order to obtain from the China indemnity. And the second goal is to use this tool of pressure to force China to finally sign all the agreement on the trade deal, which was interrupted by the pandemic,” said manoylo.
