In Moscow, died on 13 people which was confirmed the diagnosis of double-sided pneumonia and received positive tests for coronavirus infection, reports the operational headquarters on control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus. “the Majority of patients had comorbidities. Among them is chronic bronchitis, hypertension, cardiosclerosis. Five patients had diabetes,” – said on the website of the Department of health of Moscow. One of the deceased was treated in a private clinic.

In connection with this for 10 days will be redeveloped for another 24 hospital for the reception of patients with suspected coronavirus, according to the Department of health. Thus, in total, hospitals will be deployed at about 21 thousand beds for patients with coronavirus infection. Professionals who provide highly specialized care in these hospitals, will be temporarily transferred to other hospitals and will continue to accept residents.
Total in Russia by the end of April the total number of beds for patients with coronavirus is expected to increase to 95 thousand. Given the sharp growth in the number of newly ill by the end of April all the places in Moscow hospitals can be busy. In other regions of the Russian Federation beds for all patients taking into account the increase is only two times more than in the capital.
Authorities concede that the situation is not optimistic scenario. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the situation is changing daily and not for the better, and not passed the peak, even in Moscow. The coming weeks will be decisive.
Putin did not rule out that to combat the coronavirus have to use the tools and beds of the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation, which are accounted for separately from health care costs. And to attract “the human potential of all health institutions,” including non-graduated students of universities and colleges.
