In the case of an apartment fire in Pasewalk (in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald) is a 56-year-old man lost his life. The investigation into the cause of the fire suggest that this was caused by a smoldering cigarette, the police announced. The fire broke out, therefore, early on Sunday morning in the ground floor apartment and had triggered a smoke detector.
