It all reminded about something from a dream, as the 34-year-old doctor Boje Kvorning Ehmsen from Nørrebro was married to the love of his life in a lykkeboble of the natural surroundings in her home country, Brazil.
But a week after the party burst the bubble, as Mette Frederiksen closed the borders.
The newlyweds had to kiss each other goodbye in the airport without knowing when they would again come to see each other.
“It’s terrible. It is not what you want as a newlywed,” says Boje Kvorning Ehmsen.
the Point was that his brazilian wife, Renata Ehmsen, had to move with him to Copenhagen 18. march, first on a three-month visa, and then they would subsequently apply for family reunification.
So far did they not.
Boje Kvorning Ehmsens 25-year-old wife, Renata Ehmsen, don’t come to Denmark.
According to both the Ministry of foreign affairs and the police, it is not a creditable purpose for the entry as a foreign citizen is married to a Danish citizen.
And it makes no sense, believes the 34-year-old doctor.
“I think it’s strange that the spouses of Danish nationals are not allowed to enter. Especially when you have a number of other anerkendelsesværdige purpose, which is rather curious,” says Boje Kvorning Ehmsen, and continues:
“There has come so many anerkendelsesværdige purpose, for example, where people who need to participate in a trial, should get into, just like the craftsmen who have to work in the country. And so it’s just that one wonders who else should get into when one’s own spouse will not be allowed.”
He can well understand that the prime minister closed the border at the time, she did, but according to him it is high time to reconsider the decision.
“we are Now in a phase where you can take it again. I do not think the health service is on its knees. So I think also good, you can look at whether or not it is fair enough that families can be reconciled, and spouses as well,” says Boje Kvorning Ehmsen, who daily works as a doctor at Herlev Hospital.
The only way his wife can be allowed to come in, if the police at the border estimates that the entry is part of a planned and ongoing movements.
And it believes Boje Kvorning Ehmsen, also, that the entry would be. But he can’t get answers on whether the police at the border is going to be of the same conviction.
“We have been told that it is up to the individual cop to assess. You can’t know in advance to have his case assessed. It feels like a great rate,” he says.
A reassessment of what purpose there is anerkendelsesværdige, believe Boje Kvorning Ehmsen clearly should get on the case soon.
“There are too few or the wrong anerkendelsesværdige purpose,” he says, and continues:
“I can’t understand that you think it is okay to separate families.”
the Frustration in his voice is not to be mistaken, but there’s nothing else for him to do than just to wait.
“None of us knows the future, and it is terrible to be in this situation. If only you knew, that the limits are certainly opened the 10. may. But it may be, she is delaying it one or two more months.”
Rigspolitiets pressing unit is writing in an email response to B. T.:
“We can confirm that it is the individual officer who must assess the case – that is, whether it is a creditable purpose in the context of entry to Denmark.”
in Addition, it appears from the police website, that it is ‘generally applies to spouses and partners, etc. as a starting point does not have a creditable purpose of travel to Denmark, if the sole purpose is the contact with a Danish or nonresident foreign spouse or partner, etc.’.
