President Recep Tayyip Erdogan supported the statement of the Minister of internal Affairs Suleyman Soylu, in which he asked for his resignation after the failure of the introduction of the 48-hour curfews in the country. This is stated in a statement on Sunday, a communiqué of the administration of the Turkish leader.
"Our Minister has submitted his resignation to our President. [Erdogan] said that she did not consider this requirement appropriate, the communique notes. – The resignation of the Minister of internal Affairs is not accepted, he will continue to perform their duties".
The statement stressed that Suleyman Soylu "earned the gratitude of the Turkish nation for its successful work". Erdogan pointed to his achievements in the fight against terrorism, as well as for his dedicated work in a variety of natural disasters that occurred in the country.
Sunday Soylu declared "Twitter" resignation and asked for forgiveness from the leadership of the country and the Turkish people.

Suleyman Soylu joined the ranks headed by Erdogan’s party of justice and development in September 2012.
