the increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus COVID-19 in Moscow was the result of the relaxed behaviour of the citizens in the last 10 days, said the representative of the world health organization (who) in Russia, Melita Vujnović.
In an interview on TV channel “Russia 1” it is noticed that the number of cases is growing very fast. “Unfortunately, the good weather and calm, because the figures were not as high, allowed people to think: “this doesn’t concern me”, – reports TASS words Vujnović.
In her opinion, this may be due to late treatment to the doctor. The who representative added that four weeks ago, the increase in the number of infected in Moscow was considerably lower. Last week, he declined, then talked about the stabilization of the situation.
Operational headquarters on the situation with coronavirus reported that on Friday in Moscow was 3.5 million people who left the house for a long time – more than 6 hours. It specified that the house, however, were 4.4 million. Members of staff urged citizens to observe the regime of self-isolation and not jeopardize their loved ones.
Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that to assess the effect of isolation of the population will be by 30 April. On the question of a possible extension of the restrictive measures after that date, Golikova said that while giving such predictions before. According to the latest data, in the course of the pandemic coronavirus infection in the world has infected nearly 1.7 million people, more than 100 thousand died.
