The former film producer Harvey Weinstein is on Friday local time has been accused of sexual assault in a third case in Los Angeles.
Weinstein is serving currently a penalty, which he received in a court in Manhattan in New York City. The judgment went on to 23 years, among other things, rape.
the 68-year-old Weinstein is already been accused of rape in Los Angeles of a woman and a violent sexual assault against another woman – both in February 2013.
The latest case relates to an incident in may 2010 at a hotel in the Los Angeles suburb of Beverly Hills. It grants the public prosecutor’s office.
Weinstein will be in the new case accused for a total of five conditions.
weinstein’s spokesman, Juda Engelmayer, have declined to comment, before weinstein’s lawyers have spoken out. They have not immediately been to get hold of for Reuters.
In the new case sounds the charge that Weinstein concerned, the aggrieved “intimate places” while she was detained against his will by the former film producer and an unnamed second person.
Over 100 women have accused Weinstein of the different forms of sexual abuse – including rape – of a decades-long period of time.
He has denied the allegations. Instead, he said that there was talk about voluntary actions.
None of the three women who accuse Weinstein, appears by name in court documents.
The third woman was interviewed by police in October as a possible witness in the other two cases.
She came at the same time with “information, who confirmed that an assault took place within the limitation period of 10 years” write the prosecutors.
the public Prosecutor shall also notify, that two other cases were dismissed. It is due to “the victims did not want to testify against the accused in this case”.
Prosecutors in Los Angeles have asked to receive Weinstein from the state of New York and take over the care of him. He is expected to be tried in court, when he will arrive.
Straframmen in the three cases in Los Angeles are up to 29 years, writes the charges.
