Ukraine is planning in the 2020 – 2021 to build a naval base on the sea of Azov in Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region, developed the project, who on Saturday presented to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to the area.
The government of Ukraine has previously announced its intention to increase its military presence in the Azov sea and create a naval base. In March, the head of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine Andrei Taran said that Ukraine will continue to consider the port of Berdyansk as a potential location for the naval forces in the sea of Azov. In the country’s defense Ministry claimed that the base will not interfere with the operation of the commercial port and will not reduce its capacity.

It is reported that all construction work is scheduled for the 2020-2021 years.
This year, in particular, as planned, will develop documentation on the infrastructure of the port Department of the Ministry of defence from Ministry of infrastructure, dismantle the individual objects in these areas, conduct peer review, and develop project documentation of waterworks, where will be deployed the future composition of the divisions.
Next year, among other things, build the piers, and restore housing and commercial and administrative facilities.
