NOVO-OGARYOVO, April 9. /TASS/ — Russian President Vladimir Putin warned of the need to closely monitor the situation in the world and to ensure the security of the Russian Federation during a pandemic coronavirus.
“We in Russia are forced to take measures adequate to the current situation (in connection with the pandemic coronavirus — approx. TASS). This changes significantly the normal order of life of millions of people”, — stated the head of state at a meeting with permanent members of Russian security Council.
Putin said that Moscow sees “what has changed in the world in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection, combat, how it affects the world economy, as reflected in the work of industrial enterprises, how the transport business, energy, other fields”.
the meeting, which is held in the videoconference, the President proposed to discuss how to ensure the safety and interests of the Russian Federation.
