A life of luxury with expensive cars, hotel rooms and casinobesøg.
It has been commonplace for Nicki Bille in most of the career that has sent him to fodboldadresser as Reggina in Italy and Villareal in Spain.
“I turned professional as a 16-year-old, and when I turned 18 years I was already a millionaire,” says the scandal hit the attacker in a series of TV 2 PLAY, which follows fodboldspillerens struggle to get both his career and his life on an even keel again.
But Nicki Bille has not had a contract with a football club since 2018, after Lyngby chose to tear it in pieces, because he was arrested by the police for threatening a man with a gun in the open street.
This has meant that the 32-year-old footballer has not had an income in a year and a half, while he in no way has given up the luxurious lifestyle, from the time when football clubs at home and abroad paid him a hefty salary.
“I have spent a few million a year,” he tells about his massive consumption of ‘hotels, restaurants and cool cars’.

“It is, quite clearly, that if you as a young kid going from having no money to suddenly having a lot of, then you have to get help. I was not, and I therefore, I could not keep track of my finances;” says Nicki Bille in the TV 2 series, where he tries to get a new start in life.
Among other things, to find a new place to live, but it can be a challenge when you have lived a fodboldliv on the first class:
“It’s just so hard to compromise. I have never tried before. I hate to settle. I don’t want to.”
In march 2019 sold Nicki Bille his apartment in the south Harbour. It happened only a few months after the shooting incident at the same place between christmas and new year in 2018 when he was about to lose his arm. He would no longer stay there, because ‘it caused bad memories’.
It meant that he had no place to stay. He was, in other words homeless. Instead, he lived according to TV 2 with his new girlfriend, his mother, or also, he purchased a hotel room or rented themselves in the Airbnb apartment, while he dragged around his belongings in a plastic bag.
