The English football association the FA is afraid that the clubs and even whole leagues, will go falling over due to the coronacrisis. The chairman, Greg Clarke came up with the ominous message during a speech. Also does not exclude the possibility that even the clubs in the Premier League, the richest league in the world, it will fail.
“It’s a football state for the economic challenges that we never thought possible”, said the back on Tuesday. “This pandemic, brings out the economic implications of all of the sectors are likely to suffer from. We are threatened with clubs and leagues to get rid of it if the finances fall apart.”
According to the President, from the lower divisions in England, with the request to come in to make the season shorter. A behind-the-scenes work to get at least the Premier League or to play in it, but according to Clarke, is because of all the uncertainties, one cannot rule out that this season may not be finished.
“Our goal for the season is to make it so that we don’t have a problem with promotion/relegation and champions. It could be that it doesn’t work because football is our number one priority, but public health,” said Clarke. “We need to have a plan in order to ensure that English football does not collapse as we enter this season and have to give up, and don’t miss the next season, in the ruins of the falls. I hope that this plan will not be necessary, but it would be silly if we didn’t have such a contingency plan would be developed.”
The financial loss to the company is estimated to be about 150 million pounds in the last two years. “Time is running out, while the financial resources of the football and going up in smoke, while there are still no signs that we will be able to play football. There is no point with the blame finger pointing,” said Clarke. “The players, fans, owners, and board members-anyone who is involved in football, it should be up to the up this pain to bear for our sport to keep it alive.”
