the Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) of Russia has proposed from 1 July 2020 to increase the wholesale price of gas intended for sale to the public, 3%. The draft order is published on the official portal of legal acts.

“to Approve the July 1, 2020, the wholesale price of gas extracted by Gazprom and its affiliates intended for subsequent sale to the public, in accordance with the Annex to this order”, – stated in the document, which is quoted by TASS.

As explained by the head of Department of regulation of fuel and energy complex and chemical industry of the FAS of Russia Armen Khanyan, the Agency in accordance with the authority annually reviews applications on the indexation of wholesale gas prices to their economic obosnevinnosti.

“the basis of these calculations the accepted parameters of annual changes in the level of wholesale prices to the public, inherent in the forecast of socio-economic development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2024. Thus, indexation of 3% determined on the basis of a specified forecast and well below the originally desired”, – said Khanyan.

gas Prices for other categories of consumers (except the population) from July 1, is proposed to increase by 2.99%.
