Grammy award-winner Duffy tells for the first time about the abuse that caused her to withdraw from the limelight.
The british pop singer Duffy, who among other things got a Grammy, tells now, for the first time in detail about how she several years ago was drugged, raped and kept in confinement for several weeks.

Already in 2011, stated Duffy, that she would ‘take a break’ from the spotlight. First, a few weeks ago and she explained that an injury had been the cause of the break.
Now reveal the 35-year-old singer more details about the abuse.
‘It was my birthday. I was stunned at a restaurant. I was stunned in four weeks, and was transported to another country,’ she writes, among other things.
‘I can’t remember, I went on board on the plane and was put into the back of a car. I was locked in a hotel room, and the perpetrator came back and raped me.’
Duffy did not mention the name of the offender. After she managed to escape, she was too scared to report the abuse to the police, she writes.
Duffy has since visited a psychologist, who has helped her to process the trauma.
Sangeringen adding that it was the violent episode that caused her to withdraw from the limelight.
‘I am not ashamed to tell you that I have spent almost 10 years completely alone.’
‘I can now leave the decade behind me, where the past belongs to,’ writes Duffy in his postings on Instagram.
Duffy, who is particularly known for the hit ‘Mercy’ and ‘Warwick Avenue’, has received numerous awards in his career.
She released her latest album in 2010.
