Probably it is more a whimsical detail than an actual problem, that there currently is in the lead for the gentlemen, but nonetheless, it is a unique situation in the recent time.
“It is in the whole, a very unusual time that we are experiencing,” says Morten Bruun, who is B. T. s columnist and expert at Discovery.
Out is gone Åge Hareide, who actually had the contract to and with this summer’s european championship finals. But it changed the coronakrisen on, and he has already been in charge of his last match.
It announced the Dansk Boldspil-Union (DBU) on its website on Wednesday, where he officially thanked of.
“It has been an absolutely amazing time, and I would like to send a huge thank you to the players, the staff and all of you fans who have there for me and for us all the way through. I’ll never forget the special moments I have experienced as a coach,” says the now former coach Åge Hareide to DBU.
But at the same time, is the future of national coach Kasper Hjulmand has not yet acceded to, and therefore has the national team on paper is no coach.
Hjulmand has a contract with DBU from 1. august 2020. It leaves a temporary hole in the landstrænerposten. Where there is probably not much work for the time being anyway.
“That we just stand outside the national coach: honestly, it is well overturned, when there are no activities. But most countries have a national coach, we are not,” says Morten Bruun.
Kasper Hjulmand is preparing therefore remain in the wings, although you could have chosen to get him to join earlier than planned.
“I do not think that there would be something forgjort that Kasper Hjulmand began to call to the players and kept some video meetings, if it was what he would like,” says Morten Bruun.
“Under normal circumstances he would probably take on klubbesøg and be taken around and see some matches. But it may he the of good reason not now, he has kept very low profile.”
