Red Bull Motorsport consultant Helmut Marko has followed in dealing with the corona crisis, questionable plans for its formula 1-pilots. The drivers Max Verstappen should infect for a quick immunity intentionally with the Virus.
“The idea was that we organize a Camp where we bridge these somewhat dead time mentally and physically. It would of course be ideal, then the infection comes,” said Marko in a Video-Interview with the ORF: “these are all young, strong men to be in really good health. So you would then, whenever it starts, well prepared, and you can be prepared for a likely very tough world, if you once begin.”
In fact, the plans have not been implemented but. Marko had broached the idea of a “small circle” but was met with resistance: “we will Tell so: It has not been positively received.”
