Detran-MT is currently hosting the “Stay Alert in Traffic” project week in Cáceres, which started on Monday and will continue until this Friday (June 10th to 15th). The event is focused on promoting a culture of peace on the roads in state high schools.

The initiative is being organized by the Traffic Education Actions Coordination and the 4th Regional Traffic Circumscription (Ciretran). The activities will come to a close on Saturday, June 15th, with a cultural event at Duque de Caxias Square starting at 3 pm, featuring the duo from Mato Grosso, Nico and Lau.

On June 10th, there were lectures at Milton Marques Curvo State School for students in the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) program. On the 11th, activities took place at Onze de Março State School, the Military School, and the CETES Traffic School.

The awareness week, with the theme “Peace on the Road Starts with You,” is a partnership between Detran-MT, Leverger Institute, Federation of Public Security Community Councils of Mato Grosso (Feconseg-MT), and the Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso, through a parliamentary amendment from deputy Gilberto Cattani. The goal is to promote peace on the roads and reduce accidents.

The project presentations have already taken place in Cuiabá, Várzea Grande, Dom Aquino, and Itanhangá.

Here is the schedule for the upcoming presentations in 2024:
– June 15th – Cáceres, starting at 3 pm at Duque de Caxias Square
– June 29th – Nova Mutum

By participating in these events, students and the community can learn valuable information about road safety and contribute to creating a safer and more peaceful environment for everyone. It is essential to raise awareness about the importance of being alert in traffic and taking responsibility for our actions on the road to prevent accidents and promote a culture of peace. Initiatives like the “Stay Alert in Traffic” project play a crucial role in educating the public and making our roads safer for all users. Let’s all do our part to ensure safer roads for everyone in our community.
