Palmeiras is on the verge of finalizing a deal to sell Rafael Navarro to the Colorado Rapids in a potential $25 million agreement. The deal includes a fixed fee of $3.5 million, with an additional $1 million that could be earned based on the player’s performance in the MLS.
Navarro, who joined Palmeiras on a free transfer after his contract with Botafogo expired, has been unable to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup. He is currently on loan in the United States.
In order for the deal to be completed, Navarro still needs to agree on salary terms with the Colorado Rapids. In addition to this sale, Palmeiras has also agreed to the departures of Luís Guilherme to West Ham for €23 million plus €7 million in performance-based bonuses, and Luan to América-MEX for nearly $4 million, with a portion of that fee going to Vasco.
During the transfer window, Palmeiras has secured the services of Giay from San Lorenzo for $7.5 million to bolster their right-back and midfield positions. The team is also in search of a midfielder and a striker to strengthen their squad.
This transfer news comes as Palmeiras looks to make strategic moves in the transfer market to improve their squad for the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more updates on Palmeiras’ transfer activities as they look to build a competitive team for the future.
