The police ended a private celebration in the Rhineland-Palatinate Moselle town of Kröv after indications of possibly banned music.
There were also indications that anti-constitutional slogans were shouted at the celebration in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district on Saturday evening, the police said in the evening. The police checked around 20 people and searched the house rented by the group based on a court order, according to a later statement.
The officers had previously been called to the festival in the Kövenig district because of noise. They ended the celebration and established the identities of those present. It was initially unclear what type of music and slogans it might have been. The police broke up the celebration and the guests then began their journey home.
The police initiated several criminal proceedings, including for the use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations, incitement to hatred and violations of the Narcotics Act.
