Apple will officially present the next version of its operating system at the major developer conference in mid-June. A few days ago there was a surprising announcement: three new functions for the iPhone. These are not due to be published until autumn. But we’ll tell you now which features await you soon.
The innovations are primarily intended to make the device easier to use and ensure greater accessibility. Apple writes in the official announcement: “These new features will impact the lives of many users and give them new ways to communicate, control their devices and move in the world.”
This includes so-called eye tracking. This is a way to control the iPhone with your eyes. It is primarily intended to make it easier for people with physical limitations to use their smartphones. As Apple explains: “Eye tracking allows users to navigate through the elements of an app and use Dwell Control to activate each element and access additional features such as physical buttons, swipes and other gestures using only their eyes.”
Users do not need any additional hardware or accessories. The function can be easily set up using the iPhone’s front camera. Data protection is also important to the company. Because “thanks to the device’s own machine learning, all data used to set up and control this feature is stored securely on the device and is not shared with Apple.”
In addition, Apple wants to make it possible for deaf or hard of hearing users to experience music on the iPhone. When the new accessibility feature called Music Haptics is activated, the iPhone plays, among other things, subtle vibrations in addition to the sound of the music. Music Haptics is intended to work with millions of songs in the Apple Music catalog and will also be made available to other developers to make music more accessible in their apps.
Vocal shortcuts are also planned. This allows iPhone users to set short, individual voice commands. Siri can then understand this and carry out the corresponding tasks. In addition, the system will also pay more attention to certain speech patterns of users in the future. “These features are designed for users with acquired or progressive diseases that affect speech, such as cerebral palsy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or a stroke,” the company said.

The majority of people who receive citizen’s benefit have a migration background. This was the result of a survey by the Federal Employment Agency. The number is highest in Hesse.
If you use four percent of your savings every year as a supplementary pension, you will never run out of money. This is what the Trinity Rule says, which researchers from the USA established 25 years ago. Practical examples show: It is more complicated than expected.
