The film directed by Charles Olivier-Michaud, Ru, adapted from the novel by Kim Thuy, remains in the top 10 films having generated the most revenue during the week of December 29 to January 4, according to the latest figures compiled by Cinéac .

With cumulative receipts of 1.5 million, Ru therefore remains in sixth position in the top 10 films having generated the most revenue at the Quebec box office, six weeks after its theatrical release.

The other Quebec film that managed to make its way into the top 10 at the box office during this second week of the holidays, Sapin$, by Stéphane Moukarzel, is in 7th position with revenues of $142,935 in its second week in theaters, for a total of just over $314,000.

Unsurprisingly, it was the Warner-distributed film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom that came in first, with admissions of more than $903,000 for a cumulative box office of 1.9 million in just its second week in theaters .

Wonka, which stars Timothée Chalamet as the chocolatier of the same name, comes in second with revenues of $801,853 for the week, totaling 2.4 million admissions in its 3rd week in theaters.
