Surprise ! It is not the most expensive ski resorts that guarantee the best experience.

In fact, two of the three stations most popular with Protégez-vous readers offer daily tickets for $60 and less. So, you only have to pay $57 to ski at Le Relais Ski Center, in the Quebec region, the resort that sits at the top of the survey carried out by the magazine. Owls Head follows, with a daily ticket for $89. Val Saint-Côme, in Lanaudière, takes third place, with a $60 ticket.

Protégez-vous used a large number of criteria to establish its ranking, such as price, number of slopes and their condition, number of ski lifts and their condition, waiting time, courtesy of staff and offer eating.

Tremblant, Massif de Charlevoix and Mont-Sainte-Anne receive very poor marks due to the price of the daily ticket ($135, $149 and $126 respectively). Mont-Sainte-Anne also performs very poorly in terms of safety and the condition of the ski lifts. According to one of the respondents, “the bond of trust with regard to the gondola, other lifts and the management team is broken”. The Mont-Sainte-Anne station thus finds itself at the bottom of the ranking.

In its December issue, Protégez-vous magazine also offers tips for skiing at a lower cost. There are programs to reduce your bill, you just have to find them.
