Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour will finally be presented in Quebec. But in the cinema. The recording of the show by the American artist will be released in theaters on October 13.
Lasting 2 hours 45 minutes, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour will be screened in theaters across the Cineplex network, which has branches in Montreal, Laval, Brossard, Saint-Bruno, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Sherbrooke, Victoriaville and Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Currently on sale, tickets are $19.89 general admission.
The news was announced Thursday morning through a press release. The feature film will also be shown in “thousands of theaters” in the United States, as well as in Mexico.
The film is directed by Sam Wrench, a regular in productions of the genre (Billie Eilish Live at the O2, Lizzo: Live in Concert, Brandi Carlile: In the Canyon Haze Live).
Taylor Swift did not plan to give any concerts in Montreal during this world tour. Stops are however planned at the Rogers Center in Toronto, its only ones in Canada, in November 2024.
Taylor Swift launched The Eras Tour last March in Glendale, Arizona. This tour could raise revenues of 1.9 billion CAN, according to estimates by Pollstar.
