We probably don’t know it, but the red berries picked between August and October represent half of the annual harvest in Quebec. So the famous fall strawberries and raspberries deserve to have their own festival, right?
The Festifraîches return this year for a second edition, this time in more than 20 farms across the province. From August 18 to 20, the festive event will allow visitors to participate in interactive culinary workshops, attend musical entertainment, take part in family activities and even dance evenings.
Fruit will of course be in the spotlight in the ephemeral mini-markets that will be set up in most participating farms, spread over no less than 11 regions of Quebec: Capitale-Nationale, Chaudière-Appalaches, Estrie, Laurentides , Gaspésie, Laval, Mauricie, Outaouais, Lanaudière, Montérégie and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean.
