A “world-class” aquarium will open in Montreal in 2024.
The Montreal Aquarium will be built on the site of the future Royalmount, in Mont-Royal. The Montreal company behind the project is Écorécréo, which notably designed the Voiles en Voiles aerial adventure park in the Old Port.
Little is known about the future tourist attraction, including the aquatic species it will house. According to a press release, the aquarium will also fulfill a mission of conservation of marine and freshwater environments and will collaborate on research projects.
The opening is scheduled for 2024.
