Delays on the train usually have unpleasant reasons. However, the 80-minute special stop of the ICE from Paris to Stuttgart in Metz is an exception. It was filed because of a pregnant woman who gave birth to little Felix.
A little boy was born in France on the ICE train from Paris to Stuttgart. Because the mother went into labor while driving, the train made an unscheduled stop at the TGV station near Metz on Sunday morning, the newspaper Les Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace reported on Monday.
Rescue workers helped the woman give birth on the train, which meant that she had to wait 80 minutes in the station for little Félix to see the light of day. The two then went to the hospital in Metz while the train continued its journey.
